Talbot Bible Church was started in August of 1983 with the help of Village Missions, a ministry under a larger ministry called Stonecroft. Village Missions is a church planting/church-restoring ministry that enters into rural communities and pays a large portion of the pastor’s salary in order to help the ministry to get off the ground. The goal is that the church will soon be self-supporting. In a matter of years, Talbot Bible Church was indeed self-supporting and growing. It first met in the basement of the bank on the corner of Harrison Street and Goldsborough Street and then moved to Mount Pleasant School and then met at the Talbot County Agriculture Center. The church finally moved to the present location in 1987. Talbot Bible Church has had three lead pastors over the years: Reverend Dr. Leo Christian (1983 – 1992), Reverend Bill Glass (1992 – 1999), and Reverend Daniel Zollinhofer (2001 – present).

Talbot Bible Church is a non-denominational, Christ-centered church with a high regard to the Sacred Writings (2 Timothy 3:14-17). You will find at TBC a desire to connect people with the living God through The Mediator, Jesus Christ and to have them grow into fruit-bearing followers of the Lord Jesus.
